Projects

Development programmes grounded in real process requirements.

Our development programmes apply precision fluid handling, automation, and process control to technically demanding biomolecular workflows.

Development programme 01

Ligand-mediated lipid nanoparticle systems.

SC Biosystems is applying high-pressure mixing and process control to ionisable and ligand-mediated lipid nanoparticle formulations.

The programme combines high-pressure formulation, controlled surface functionalisation, and analytical characterisation to establish repeatable nanoparticle production across development and scale.

Initial focus

Peptide-functionalised lipid nanoparticles combine ionisable formulations with surface-presented ligands to influence cellular interaction and delivery behaviour.

Development programme 02

Automated oligonucleotide synthesis systems.

SC Biosystems is developing programmable process equipment for controlled oligonucleotide synthesis.

The programme brings reagent and solvent routing, timed reaction cycles, washing, pressure control, and in-line measurement into an integrated synthesis environment designed for repeatable operation.

System emphasis

Equipment architecture, fluid handling, cycle control, process visibility, and practical translation across synthesis workflows.

Shared direction

Different programmes. A common engineering foundation.

Both programmes contribute to a broader process platform built around precise fluid handling, automated operation, measurement, and reproducibility across advanced biomolecular manufacturing.
